We've got a new nephew coming. I decided that for a second child, when mom and dad already have so many basics, it's always fun to have something new to cuddle the baby with. This should be particularly comfortable, as the back is a nice cozy fleece.The other day I found some of my old dresses from growing up--they're not too wonderful looking, but the colors are fun. I think my next quilt project will be to reinvent a new look out of those fabrics.

How cute! I'm trying to learn to quilt this summer. And sew in general. I made a blanket last winter. I'm impressed with your domestic skills.
I've always wanted to try reinventing clothes. I went to a baby shower once and a woman made the cutest dress out of a large man's buttondown.

What is that kind of pattern called? I can't remember. That is actually the only kind of pieced quilt I have made. I absolutely love your colors. You have a lucky nephew!
